Duma committee approves Taimyr oil exemption from export duty
MOSCOW, Dec 7 (PRIME) -- The budget and tax committee of the State Duma, Russian parliament's lower chamber, supported on Monday an amendment exempting oil produced on the Taimyr Peninsula from export duties.
"This amendment envisages exempting oil produced in the Taimyr oil and gas province from export duties like other new oil producing regions, East Siberia, the north of the Krasnoyarsk Region,” Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Sazanov said.
“This is an addition to the law we adopted in October to support oil production on Taimyr."
The State Duma will consider the bill in a second reading on Tuesday.
